Study: R.I. sportsmen spend more than $165M per year
WASHINGTON – Recreational hunters and fishermen have a significant impact on the Rhode Island economy, last year spending more than $165 million, according to the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation. Sportsmen in Massachusetts spent $843 million in 2006, the CSF said, while spending by hunters and anglers nationwide was more than $76 billion.
